Dr. David Person gained extensive surgical experience while serving in the U.S. Army, completing deployments in Germany, Kosovo, Honduras, and Kuwait. After his military service, he trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at The University of Alabama at Birmingham under Dr. Luis O. Vasconez. He then returned to San Antonio to subspecialize in hand and microsurgery at The Hand Center of San Antonio.
